The Weekend’s Football

FA Cup action as well as Premier League and a full fixture list in the Football League.

Starting in the FA Cup, Chelsea will beat Stoke at Stamford Bridge. Stoke’s biggest weapon is their size and strength, but Chelsea are a big side also and should be able to counter the threat. Barring any mishaps from Hilario in the Chelsea goal, Chelsea should win comfortably. But at 2/7 it is not worth betting on a single.

The Quick Fix

Accumulator

Arsenal to beat Burnley

Everton to beat Hull

Man Utd to beat Wolves

West Ham to beat Bolton

Chelsea to beat Stoke

Newcastle to beat Barnsley

Charlton to beat Stockport

Norwich to beat Yeovil

Available at 12/1.

The Weekend’s Football

Some big games this weekend and definitely an opportunity to make a profit.

I really think Aston Villa have a fantastic chance in the Carling Cup Final. To United, the Carling Cup is a trophy which would be great if they win, but they’re not bothered. But for Villa, playing at Wembley, competing for silverware will really be special. I think they’ll want to win more, and quite often, the team who wants it more, gets it.

Back Aston Villa at 10/3.

The Quick Fix

The Accumulator:

Birmingham to beat Wigan

Liverpool to beat Blackburn

Stoke to draw with Arsenal

Sheff Utd to beat Plymouth

Everton to beat Tottenham

Available at 56/1.

Do a Four-fold, which is 5 bets, so any four of these has to come off.

This is worth a look…

Can Wales beat France?

Tonight’s another first for rugby. It’s the first Friday night game in the Six Nations in Britain.

France vs Wales

France are the form team going for the Grand Slam. After outclassing Ireland in Paris two weeks ago, they are now 1/3 to win the Six Nations and as short as 5/6 to do the Grand Slam.

Wales lost to England and somehow escaped with a victory against the Scots. It has been poor start for a team full of quality. They have scored five tries but conceded as many in two games. They’ll need to shore up a leaky defence to stand any chance.

What A Night!

Inter Milan’s win against Chelsea aside, it’s been a brilliant night for those of you who follow me. A quadruple came off at 21/1! I also tipped Stoke to draw with Man City in 90 minutes at 11/2, and although Stoke went on to win that game, it was a healthy return. Aston Villa did win, although they did not keep a clean sheet and Agbonlahor only bagged one.

The best result of the night though was the all-Championship affair between West Brom and Reading. I tipped this to be a draw in 90 minutes and then Reading to win, either on penalties or in extra time. The draw was available at 14/5 and Reading to win in extra time was 14/1 shot.

The Quick Fix

Man City to draw with Stoke

Aston Villa to beat Crystal Palace

Reading and West Brom to draw.

Tottenham to beat Bolton

Available at 21/1.

FA Cup 4th Round Replays

There are four fixtures tonight in the FA Cup.

Manchester City face a difficult challenge at the Britannia Stadium against Stoke. The last two meetings between these clubs, and I can see the full time result being the same.

Bet on a draw at 11/2 with Bet365.

Of course if tonight’s games finish even, extra time and then penalties follow.

Man City can win this in extra time at 10/1.

Aston Villa should win this quite easily against Crystal Palace. They should keep a clean sheet, at 8/11, and Agbonlahor can score two or more at 7/2.

The Big Clash

Tonight sees the tie we’ve all been waiting for… it’s Mourinho’s reunion with Chelsea. The Blue’s travel to the San Siro to take on Serie A leader’s Inter Milan.
